Fungi, algae, viruses and pathogenic germs are effectively combated and killed by the active ingredient approved for drinking water. In technical terms, these germs are called pseudomonads (Pseudomonas), E.Coli and Legionella.

biostream® PERMAGNA can be intelligently expanded through modular design:
biostream® PERMAGNA can be easily extended by adding components. For example, lime deposits can be combated or corrosion can be further reduced.
Highly concentrated and ready for immediate use:
PERMAGNA does not need to be activated and is therefore ready for immediate use. The active ingredient chlorine dioxide is generated in-situ in the process water and is therefore immediately available in high concentration to combat Legionella, E.Coli and Pseudomonas. This effectiveness results from the high disinfection power of chlorine dioxide coupled with the disinfection effect of other chlorine oxide active ingredients.
APPLICATION AND CONCENTRATIONS:
biostream® PERMAGNA is dosed directly from the delivery container.
Thus an immediate disinfection is possible. Dosing can be done manually or by means of a dosing pump. The appropriate dosing technology is available directly from our technology partner. Since only low outgassing occurs during dosing (MAK value), biostream® PERMAGNA can be added directly from the delivery container to the water to be disinfected without any problems or technology.
Our practical experience has shown efficacy against E.Coli, Legionella and Pseudomonas in the following concentrations:
Swimming pool water: 5 ml/m3 per day.
whirlpool: 10 ml/m3 per day
The pH value of the water to be treated should be between 4 – 10.
LEIBNIZ UNIVERSITY OF HANOVER CONFIRMS EFFICACY
A study commissioned by biostream® GmbH and conducted by the Institute of Food Science and Ecotrophology at Leibniz University in Hanover under the leadership of Dr. rer. nat. H.-D. Werlein confirms in 1,620 individual tests that the product biostream® ZERO is 99.9% effective against germs occurring in drinking water with exposure times of only 5 minutes.
The biostream® products have been used successfully since 2001 for disinfection in rail vehicles and on ships, in numerous hospitals and clinics, and by well-known beverage manufacturers in practice. Tests at the Institute of Food Science and Ecotrophology at Leibniz University in Hanover under the leadership of Dr. rer. nat. H.-D. Werlein again confirmed the excellent efficacy. Dr. rer. nat. Hans-Dieter Werlein is responsible for the area of food hygiene and microbiology.
SUSTAINABLE CONTROL OF LEGIONELLA AND BIOFILMS
Legionella (e.g. Legionella pneumophila) are a water hygiene problem that is often underestimated. They are also the cause of legionnaires' disease (legionellosis).
Legionella settle in the so-called biofilms, which can only be combated poorly or not at all by e.g. disinfectants containing hydrogen peroxide. Chlorine also has less disinfecting power than the active ingredient chlorine dioxide present in our products.
According to the current Drinking Water Ordinance, biostream® products are approved as disinfectants for drinking water. In addition, our products comply with the current requirements of the Biocide Directive.
