What does biostream do?
biostream® supplies chlorine dioxide as a concentrate that users prepare themselves: the solid component goes into the liquid component, and after 3 hours the disinfection concentrate is ready. This means no dedicated plant for producing chlorine dioxide is needed to disinfect tanks, hoses and pipes.
Containers range from small units to bulk quantities for industry and beverage production. The right quantity for an application is calculated by the dosing calculator.

biostream® products have been used in rail vehicles and on ships, in hospitals and clinics, and by beverage manufacturers since 2001. References include Deutsche Bahn, Coca-Cola European Partners, the German Armed Forces (Bundeswehr), BRITA, Evonik, Berliner Wasserbetriebe, the Reederei NORD Group and the Federal Waterways and Shipping Administration (Wasserstraßen- und Schifffahrtsverwaltung des Bundes), among others.
What biostream is not
biostream® ZERO is not a silver-based product and not merely a preservative. In drinking water applications, silver counts as a preservative, not as a disinfectant. biostream® products contain neither silver nor other heavy metals.
biostream® ZERO is not a hydrogen peroxide product. The German Environment Agency lists hydrogen peroxide for drinking water treatment as an oxidising agent, not as a disinfectant. The difference is shown by the comparison of methods.
biostream® ZERO is not a dosing system. It is a concentrate that is prepared and dosed by hand. Continuous disinfection of a building installation requires a professionally planned system.
biostream® ZERO is not a remedy and is not intended for ingestion. It has nothing to do with the products sold for ingestion under the names "MMS" or "CDL". Why this matters is explained on the page Chlorine dioxide is not a remedy.
